WebDirect is enabled per-file through the extended privilege system and configured at the server level in Admin Console. Understanding how it is licensed -- specifically, concurrent connection licensing -- is important for estimating costs and capacity for a WebDirect deployment.

Enabling WebDirect in Admin Console
In FileMaker Server Admin Console, go to Configuration > Web Publishing > WebDirect. Toggle "Enable WebDirect Publishing" on. You must also have a valid SSL certificate installed -- WebDirect requires HTTPS. Restart is required if this is the first time enabling.
